Hoya buotii comes from Luzon, Philippines. Found in 1906 and it has a nickname, ‘little starfish’ due to its characteristic.
Hoya buotii needs a half shade and good ventilation environment. Water the plant until fully wet when medium is dry, it needs more water when growing and flowering. Please do not put Hoya buotii in high humidity and expose to sun. It will flowering year round if it’s growing in a good ventilation and drainage environment.
Hoya buotii is blooming in a ball shape and last for 5 to 10 days. Its flowers have a good smell and changing color according to the seasons. Fertilizing once in 2 weeks or per month would be helpful for flowering. Spraying fungicide and herbicide is also important to prevent being attacked by pests.
