Hoya halconensis 海爾孔毬蘭為夾竹桃科，多年生附生植物，原產自菲律賓。枝蔓纖長，有著披針形的十字對生葉序，葉片有明顯脈紋，色澤油綠。傘形花序球狀，花徑約兩公分；花冠平展或略微向內彎曲，顏色黃綠、至淺黃色，有短絨毛；副花冠中心紅色，邊緣黃白色。配色美、有淡香，生長及開花能力強，是不需精心維護也能照顧好的品種。
A Hoya halconensis is a perennial epiphytic plant which is native to the Philippines. This beautiful vine plant has long slim stems with decussate leaves. It’s got 2 cm wide umbel inflorescence, with somewhat cup shaped / almost flat flowers. Petals are pale yellowish green, densely fuzzy, and the corona is red in the middle then turns white on the edge. The Hoya halconensis not only has a color combination that is pleasing to the eye, but also vanilla-like scent.
Hoya halconensis is low maintanence and doesn’t require much attention. It does best in filtered light or dappled sun. Provided with warm humid ventilated growing conditions, they can grow very well and bloom prolifically. It is best to grow then in well-draining and airy planting medium. You can spray around the plant from time to time to keep it happy with 60-80% humidity. Make sure to let the substrate dry down enough between waterings to prevent root rot.
